Additional PSLE practice:
Qns 21. Ans key say plant a few seeds or can just plant one seed in the egg shell?
Roots from one seed not enough to crack shell.
Qns 37. The qns say 2 of the animal eats plant only but ans key draw only B as the herbivore, E eat plant and animal as omnivore,C as carnivore, D as carnivore. Then no other animal eat plant. So my answer is A-->B, E and C, B-->C, C-->D. B and E is herbivore, C is omnivore, D is carnivore.
I copy the answer from the booklet without checking. I agree with your answer but there is more than one answer.


PSLE Booklet:
Physical Science Booklet B Qns 3c/ Specimen Paper Booklet B Qns 42c. Why cannot make another hole at the top of the bottle beside the opening where they pour the liquid inside? What is the answer then?
Do not make changes to the apparatus unnecessarily unless you've got no choice. Remember the question on torchlight? Don't add batteries, just bring the torchlight nearer to the screen.

Practice 7A:
Qns 10. Why is the answer 4? My answer is 1.
B should have foil to act as a control. D and F are not enough to prove that carbon dioxide does not come from the water itself.

Qns 22. I still dont understand how to do.
Just look for compasses that point to the circle and away from it as like poles repel and unlike poles attract. Then you'll know how the magnet is placed in the circle.

Qns 2. I still dont understand the grid.

Qns 10. How did the bubble in the water form?

I don't have practice 6A and PSLE booklet with me, so you need to be more specific.

Practice 5A:
Qns 14. Why ans cant be Fats.
It can be but fats do not produce energy, it is bad conductor of heat though to keep you warm. It's more of carbohydrates.

Qns. What is the diff. between budding and cell division? Want to confirm, is this in syllabus?
Budding is not in the syllabus. I have notes on budding and cell division in P5. You might want to refer to your Science notebook in P5. Main difference: Daughter cell is of smaller size than parent size for budding. For cell division, both daughter cells are of same sizes.

My Say...

First of all, I'm not a blood-thirsty teacher going for blog entries. I think 6C is an enjoyable class to teach.

But I'm also worried about the class attitude which may affect the attitude for revision.

If you're still having a happy-go-lucky attitude towards lessons, it's quite a worrying phenomenon.

Kudos to Firdaus and Yi Wen trying to do a good job. I know it's hard and it's demoralising to absorb the mistake of others. But the message is sent: Teachers do not tolerate nonsense, especially when exams are near. We can have an enjoyable lesson but make sure your attitude's right.

After almost 2 years of torment from me, I think by now, you should roughly know what I mean.

Something gladden me these few days. Al-Driss was showing me a Thursday article on energy. It's pretty interesting, as you can view below.

Then today, he shared with me some interesting A-level books on Biology, Physics and Chemistry. It's a pity I'm not familiar with Biology and Chemistry but Physics certainly intrigued me, having taken Physics at A-level. It's his attitude that makes me very pleased. He has no motive to impress, just a way of expressing his passion for Science.

Meanwhile, don't take the punishment too harshly. Maintain your positive attitude in learning.

Why I Did Not Keep The Class Quiet

I apologise for not keeping the class quiet.let me explain.okay,before you came in,the class was not so noisy.it was only when you were walking down our class corridor did the talking started.im not sure but the sound seem to come from the back of the classroom.i did not ask them to stop talking as i saw yi wen and vinnie already asking them to stop talking.thus,i ignored the people who are talking.later when you came in the class,you asked me to give you at least three people's name who are talking very loudly.so,i did not know who was talking as if i say the wrong name,they must write a blog for no reason.i did not know about this but,yi wen said one of them was zon.so i said zon.i did not know the other two names so you said that you would give me time until the bell ring.but when the bell rang,you just walked off.it was entirely not your fault.it was mine,for not informing you.i will try my best to keep the whole class as quiet as possible and i will be vigilant in those who do not keep quiet despite me warning them.once again,i am sorry.

Why I did not bring my science PSLE book

I am really sorry for not bringing my Science PSLE book last Friday. I practised chinese oral till quite late into the night and was so tired that I forgot to pack my bag. Thus, I did not bring all my home work, including the Science PSLE book. I will really try my best not to be so careless again.

I am sorry i did not have my science workbook.I did not hav my science workbook as i had left it under my table. As under my table also had alot of other stuff the science workbook fell out and that was why i could not find it at home nor in schoool . This is the reason i did not bring my science workbook was that i could not find it at home the day before.I am very sad and dissapointed at myself and i hope that you will forgive me.

Dear Mr Wan,
As the monitress of 6 Courage, I would like to apologise for the class' noisy behaviour that day before your lesson. Some people were talking, and Vinnie and I went over, trying to stop them. Unfortunately, when we were about to ask them to quieten down, you stepped into the classroom. Actually, the class was actually quite well-behaved until those people started to talk. I feel that (for some of the people who could not control their laughter) it was not really their fault. That was why i could not name the other two people as i did not know who they were. I hope you understand.
I know that we have gained a bad reputation; and have been a disappointment to you as you already warned us before and it had happened many times before.I assure you that i will do my best in keeping the class quiet whenever a teacher is not around. Happy Birthday Song Incident

I am very sorry that i sang the Happy Birthday song. We were singing it to Dini as it was her birthday on tenth of February, twenty-ten which is next Wednesday. I am very apologetic as I am a prefect. I promise I will not do that again and will use the right action at the right time. And I will try my best to demonstrate the Elias values. After this incident, I will reflect on my actions and what I have done. I will also give full attention and listen more in class. I will try my hardest to score well for my prelims and primary school leaving examinations. And I would also like to ask why Joan is excused, is the reason being because she is a new comer? Anyway, I am very sad that you are not teaching us maths anymore. I am extremely sorry as I thought that you would not mind at all for us singing the Happy Birthday song. I really hope you will give me another chance as i am a first time offender. I hope you will forgive me and understand.

I am quite guilty that as a nominee of head prefect, I could not control myself well enough. I will reflect on my behaviour. I promise you that I will not do it again. Incident about singing 'Happy Birthday' Song...

I sang the 'Happy Birthday' song as Vinnie and Rebecca sung, so I joined in. Dini's birthday is on next Wednesday, we are singing the birthday song for her in advance. As a prefect, I was very guilty, apologetic and remorseful about my behaviour. I will change and reflect on my action. I promise you I will change and use the right voice and the right action at the right time and right place. I would like to ask you a question. Joan was singing but why she was excused from writing this reflection? Is is because she is a new comer? On the other hand, Dini's birthday will be on next Wednesday. Isn't it a happy occasion? I am extremely sorry as I thought you will not mind us singing the birthday song. I really hope you will give a chance as I am just a first-time offender. I hope you will forgive me and understand. I am terribly sorry about my behaviour and I assure you that I will not make this mistake again. Let it be the history and look forward to a new year ahead.

Reflection

Sorry Mr Wan, I should not shoot the "rocket" at you, I had realised my mistake. It is also very rude. Shooting the "rocket" at you is a form of disrespect. It is also very rude. Rudeness to teacher is an offene, we will receive a one-hour after school detention, parents or guardians will also be notified and we need to complete the self reflection form. I am very grateful to you for showing me mercy and not referring me to Mr Ang. I should be more cautious and think twice before doing anything. The Prairie Dog is a good example. They think before they act abd do the right thing at the right time and at the right place. As a primary six pupil, i must set a good example for the lower primary pupils to learn. This year is a very crucial year for all primary six pupils as PSLE is coming soon. I should start to get more serious in my work and not joke around in class. You hav been a great teacher for last year and this year. I have learnt my lesson. In future, i will think before i act and show more respect to the teachers or anyone else older then me. Discernment is also very important, we should learn from our mistakes and most importantly, not to repeat ti again. The Bobcat is an animal which demostairts discernment. We ought to learn from the Bobcat. I am very sorry Mr Wan, i hope you forgive me.

There are some who think that ducks eat snails. Some of the websites did mention that.

However, given the structure of the beak of the duck (round beak), it is unlikely that it will eat snails. It's more for birds with sharper and more pointed beaks.
